Welcome

We are a small group consisting of professional, sophisticated and/or high net worth individuals who both invest in and also advise smaller companies from start-up through to early years.

Club membership is discrete and by invitation only. We welcome new members who have experience in investing in private markets. If you would like to be considered for membership, please complete the application form or alternatively send us an email and we will be happy to arrange a call.

  • Established in 2024, the Club invests in early staged, off market, private equity opportunities.

  • Our Investment Committee has over 150 years of combined investment management expertise working for some of the world’s biggest investment managers and financial institutions.

  • Our team has institutional and entrepreneurial backgrounds and has adapted these disciplines to our target markets. We follow a disciplined investment process designed to understand the management team and the functionality of each business.

    Our strength, is our understanding of the importance of good governance and financial management.

  • Whilst accepting that investment in private markets is higher risk and so more appropriate for sophisticated investors, we seek to manage investment risk through proactive oversight. We attend Board meetings and provide proactive support matching the Club’s expertise to the needs of target investee companies.

  • As a Club member you are not obligated to invest or commit. Instead, all we ask is that you actively consider each opportunity presented. We do not give investment advice so if you are ever uncertain, please seek independent professional advice.

  • We do not charge a membership fee, nor do we levy annual management fees. Instead, Host Capital seeks to align its commercial interests with Club members by only charging members an investment set up fee capped at 5% + VAT of each member’s investment plus a performance fee of 20% on investment returns in excess of a minimum of 15% per annum. Performance fees are only payable upon successful exit.
